It is a good news that a big campaign for irrigation in MP region of Bundelkhand is in the offing. Can I know weather there is some provision of removing the silt of Bila Dam as it's storage capacity is considerably decreased due to deposits.

Earlier it was giving 3 to 4 times water for the rabi crop but now despite having water up to maximum level, it is not giving water even 2 times. the dam was constructed some where in 1968-69 and since then a lot of deposits are setlled which has affected it's storing capacity adversely.

The canals, main and minor also need repairs.I shall be thankful if some information in this regard is given.

Thanks.
