Tourists in Panna to enjoy New Year

Panna, Dec 29: At the tourist village Madla in Panna district tourists assembled to celebrate new year in a unique way. Madla is situated on the bank of Ken river. Tourists from India and abroad visit here in large numbers. In Panna district all the hotels and lodges have been fully booked including Tree House.

The tourists from abroad who want to take part in the new year eve are ready to pay any cost to the hotels. The tourists, fond of sight seeing, have desire to celebrate the new year away from noise of cities and in the lap of nature.

This is the reason that they did not halt at five star hotels but like to halt in tents on the bank of Ken river.

The owner of Ken river lodge Shyamendra Singh Binny Raja said that all the cottages have been booked till Jan 3. Travel agencies are sending request for bookings continuously but no rooms are vacant.

This has forced the authorities to make extra arrangements.

A similar situation is to be witnessed at Jewel of the jungle of Panna tiger reserve. Tourists from country and abroad are continuously visiting here. The commissioner was about to take meeting of collectors but due to the pressure of tourists it was organized at Panna.

On the occasion of new year for the purchasing and entertainment of the tourists exclusive arrangements have been made on the bank of Ken. The tourists would be able to taste Bundelkhandi (local) dishes as well as western dishes here.

Dishes would be served before the tourists after cooking them in clay pots and specially designed pots. The tourists would enjoy and celebrate the new year in open air on the bank of Ken river.

Special arrangement of local folk dance has been made to add beauty in celebrating the festival. The tourists would enjoy here the famous Diwari and Rai dance of Bundelkhand.
