My eyes are filled with tears as i go through these lines almost 14 years after I read them in Hindi class in school. As a 12 year old girl, I did not realize fully then what the lines meant, or what the deep connotation was. But still I fell in love with the poem back then as a kid, and later kept looking for this same poem until I found it here! Thanks for the beautiful poetry that just sinks in..deep in your heart. The simple words, the lovely description of Indian terrain, Indian soil, rural Indian crops (kalsi, sarson) takes you to a different pastoral world.. Thanks :)))
