Hindus join Muslim brothers in paying homage on the occasion of Muharrum

In this backward Uttar Pradesh town, Hindus join their Muslim brothers in paying homage to the martyrs of Karbala on the occasion of Muharrum. This unique tradition, bringing the two religious communities together in praying, started about 260 years ago with a Maratha setting up "Ramji Ka Imambara" at the Gulab Bagh road in Aliganj locality here. While the Muslims recite "fateha" before the "tazias" installed at the Imambara during this month, their fellow Hindu devouts pray before the "dhaal, naal and alams" identified with Muharrum. Devouts of both the religions pray under one roof, setting a rare example of communal amity and brotherhood.

Five generations of the Marathi family, who had set up this imambara, have been personally taking part in observing Muharrum and they converge here on this occasion every year. 71-year-old Basant Raj Samant, an advocate by profession, representing the fourth generation of the family, said that ever since 1750 this tradition has been kept alive by them and he too makes it a point to come here from Pune every year.

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का चरित्र मानव को धर्म, प्रेम, करुणा, ज्ञान, त्याग, साहस व कर्तव्य के प्रति प्रेरित करता है। भाद्र कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी को देश व विदेश में कृष्ण जन्म को उत्सव के रूप में मनाया जाता है। उनका जन्म बुधवार को मध्यरात्रि में हुआ। उनके जन्म के समय वृषभ लग्न था व चंद्रमा वृषभ राशि में था। रोहिणी नक्षत्र में जन्मे कृष्ण का सम्पूर्ण जीवन विविध लीलाओं से युक्त है। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का जन्म भाद्र कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी को रोहिणी नक्षत्र में हुआ। इसलिए श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी का पर्व रोहिणी नक्षत्र में ही मनाए जाने की परम्परा है। इस वर्ष भी दो अष्टमी पड़ रही है&

हर वर्ष की भांति इस वर्ष भी रमजान शरीफ के मुबारक माह के 15वे रोजे की मौलवी मजूर अहमद रहमत उल्लाह अलैह का उर्स बड़े ही धूमधाम के साथ मनाया गया। इसमें बाहर से आये हुए तमाम हजरात से सिरकर फरमाई जिसमें महोबा, पन्ना, बिजावर, छतरपुर, चरखारी, महोबा, दमोह, टीकमगढ़, जबलपुर, ग्वालियर, मुरैना से बड़ी संख्या में लोगों ने बाबा के दरगाह पर माथा टेका।

Mauni Baba Mahotsava at Simauni Dham, Banda

Mauni Baba Ki Samadhi in Village Simauni, Block, Babero, District Banda, Uttar Pradesh is highly regarded holy place in the entire Bundelkhand area of Uttar Pradesh. Every year during the month of December a Grand Mela - Exhibition / Bhandara / RamLila is organized by Swami Avdhoot Trust. Seeking the importance of this place Govt. of India has declared this place as Tourist Place. By sanctioning Rs. Four Crores and has started construction for Simauni Tourist Complex. On this place an Over Head Drinking Water Tank is supplying water in the nearby villages which was also funded by Govt. of India for Rs. 70 Lacs. U.P. Govt has constructed a 33 K.V.A. Electric Sub Station and a Reporting Police Chowki is also functioning there. A Helipad for VIPs has been constructed by U.P. Govt. Apart from this many development projects are in the pipeline by Govt. agencies for this place. Swami Avdhoot Trust had donated free land for all the above projects.
