We are pleased to inform you that ASSOCHAM is organizing a “Food and Agri Processors Conclave” at Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh to strengthen and promote the Agri and Food Processing industries in Uttar Pradesh and specifically the Bundelkhand Region.

Food & Agri Processors Conclave is a key event that will focus on various issues like recognizing the investment & business opportunities in Food Processing sector and optimizing existing export avenues while also dealing with key issues in the sector such as challenges faced by food and Agri producers and matters related to quality and safety.

ASSOCHAM's Food & Agri Processors Conclave also lays emphasis on the rural empowerment by providing the farmers and Agri processors a platform to discuss issues, prospects and problems in the highly important Food and Agri Processing sector. The initiative also complements the objective of Rural Development and empowerment of the agricultural and food processing sector in the area.

We believe that the event will be highly helpful and beneficial in further development of the region and will assist the beneficiaries in their financial and social growth.

Panna Diamonds to be Auctioned Starting July 25, 2011

The diamonds from the shallow mines of India's Panna district will go up for auction beginning July 25. The auction will take place via the Diamond Officer in Panna. Bids can be placed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily, following inspection of the diamonds. The auction will continue until all of the diamonds have been sold.

प्रस्तावना

भारत सरकार की नदी गठजोड़ परियोजना के तहत प्रधानमंत्री जी की उपस्थिति में विगत 25 अगस्त 2005 को उ0प्र0 तथा म0प्र0 सरकारों द्वारा केन-बेतवा नदी गठजोड़ पर त्वरित कार्य स्वीकार किया गया था। इसे समझना बुन्देलखण्ड के परिप्रेक्ष्य में आवश्यक है।

प्रस्तावित योजना

1. छतरपुर-पन्ना सीमा पर गंगऊ बैराज से 2-3 किमी0 ऊपर डौढ़न गांव के समीप लगभग 73 मीटर ऊंचा बांध केन नदी के सम्पूर्ण पानी का संग्रह करेगा।
2. इस बांध से लगभग 231 किमी0 लम्बी विशालकाय नहर द्वारा झांसी जिले के बरूआसागर झील को भरा जायेगा जो आगे बेतवा नदी से जुड़ी है।

Mauni Baba Mahotsava at Simauni Dham, Banda

Mauni Baba Ki Samadhi in Village Simauni, Block, Babero, District Banda, Uttar Pradesh is highly regarded holy place in the entire Bundelkhand area of Uttar Pradesh. Every year during the month of December a Grand Mela - Exhibition / Bhandara / RamLila is organized by Swami Avdhoot Trust. Lacs of people from all parts of Uttar Pradesh and from many states of country like Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttranchal, Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar and many NRI’s visit the holy place and get the blessings from Shri Shri 1008 Swami Avdhoot Ji Maharaj.

This Mela is recognized as the State Level Mela and is the largest in the entire Bundelkhand area, where people from Hindu – Muslim community and many VIP dignitaries which include Politicians (Central and state govt. ministers), Bureaucrats, Film Stars also mark their visit at this holy place.

Seeking the importance of this place Govt. of India has declared this place as Tourist Place. By sanctioning Rs. Four Crores and has started construction for Simauni Tourist Complex. On this place an Over Head Drinking Water Tank is supplying water in the nearby villages which was also funded by Govt. of India for Rs. 70 Lacs. U.P. Govt has constructed a 33 K.V.A. Electric Sub Station and a Reporting Police Chowki is also functioning there. A Helipad for VIPs has been constructed by U.P. Govt. Apart from this many development projects are in the pipeline by Govt. agencies for this place. Swami Avdhoot Trust had donated free land for all the above projects.
